Meet the Counselor

William D. Wilson, M.A., LPC

Practical counseling for men seeking clarity, discipline, and forward momentum.

I work with men who feel stuck, but who also know they’re capable of more.

Since beginning clinical practice in 2022, I’ve worked with men navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and difficult decisions. Many come in feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves. What they’re often missing isn’t effort or intelligence: it’s clarity, structure, and a way forward that aligns with their values.

My approach is calm, direct, and grounded in practical work. I draw from evidence-based therapy, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), alongside Stoic philosophy to help men develop self-control, emotional regulation, and sound judgment under pressure. We focus on the core pillars of wisdom, courage, justice, and discipline, not as abstract ideas, but as tools for daily life. This work helps men understand their emotions without being ruled by them, and act in ways that reflect who they want to be.

I don’t offer counseling as a place to simply vent. I work best with men who are choosing this process for themselves and are willing to engage honestly. Sessions are structured, intentional, and tailored to your pace - neither rushed nor stagnant.

Values-based work plays a central role, providing stability during seasons of chaos and a framework for decision-making that holds up under stress. Faith can be integrated implicitly through this work, and explicitly when appropriate and desired.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas. I remain committed to ongoing training, consultation, and supervision to ensure ethical, effective care. I see counseling as a disciplined craft, and one that requires humility, continual learning, and respect for the responsibility entrusted to the therapeutic relationship.

Most men who come to me are stuck, but they are also resilient. With the right tools, self-understanding, and support, they regain clarity, confidence, and momentum.

Years of Clinical Practice Serving Men

Since beginning clinical practice in 2022, I’ve worked with men navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and faith-centered decision-making. My work is grounded in real clinical experience, ongoing training, and a commitment to practical, ethical care.

Men Supported Through Real Change

I’ve helped many men develop clearer thinking, stronger emotional regulation, and healthier patterns for work, relationships, and personal responsibility. Progress is built through consistent, focused work—not quick fixes.

Individualized, Evidence-Based Care

Every man’s situation is different. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, values-based work, and trauma-informed methods, tailored to your goals, beliefs, and season of life.

Online Therapy Designed for Men Who Value Privacy and Progress

Many men hesitate to seek support, not because they don’t care, but because traditional therapy feels inconvenient, exposed, or disconnected from real life.

Online therapy removes those barriers.

By meeting virtually, you can access focused, confidential support from your home or office without disrupting your schedule or stepping into a waiting room.

This format allows men to engage more openly, stay consistent, and apply practical tools directly to their daily lives.

Sessions are structured, intentional, and goal-oriented designed to help you think clearly, regulate stress, and move forward with confidence.
